Daniel Yuan is a fifth grader who attends Ronald Reagan Elementary School in Bakersfield.  He started playing the piano shortly before he turned 5 years-old and then started playing the violin a year later.  In addition to playing in the school advanced orchestra for the past 2 years, Daniel has participated in CMEA Solo and Ensemble Festival, Strolling Strings for the past 2 years, and Certificate of Merit for the piano.  Several months ago, he started playing the viola.  When he is not involved in music, he plays tennis.
